Long box to short box conversion
OK.... don't know if anyone of you out there has been there or done this.
I have a 1996 Dodge 2500 2WD extra cab,long box. I know some of you call it a "bed",but I don't sleep in mine so.....
ANYWAYS..... I am wanting to convert mine to a short box.
I have a ex cab short box fuel tank located, and also a short box as well.
where do I slice the frame?
I think I may look for the correct driveshaft instead of cutting the one I have.
Seems to me the S/B has a one piece shaft and the L/B has a two piecer...
Looking for advice on what to expect to run into....Thanks guys!
BTW... I will be having a rust-free southern 8 foot box for sale when I am done. I will be going up to Wisconsin.... so any points in between
