lighted tow mirrors
Had plans to replace OEM mirrors with lighted tow mirors. Did alot of research and reading up and I came across a thread about using lights as signals/clearence using only the black and red wires that comes with the 1A auto mirrors. I saved the thread and now I can't find it. Long story short, I got the mirrors and brackets installed and only hooked up as clearence for now. Does anyone know where I can find this thread or maybe it was on some other site, I really don't remember. I tried searching a few times with no luck.
Thanks for your time; shortkid

I do believe that is the upgrade, 1A auto is aftermarket supplier. They are OEM replacement . I know somewhere I read about wiring them to work both ways but I can't find the thread I saved.
Thanks

OK. I don't think the 2nd gens had lighted ones.
They did have power and heat at that time, but you will have to run secondary wiring for marker and turn signals. The supplier/manufacturer should have instructions for this.
You will probably end up tapping in around the fuse box or steering column. The stock wiring is bare minimum sized so you will probably be better off stripping and soldering, or using terminals so they don't fail you later on..

I just bought some tow mirrors with the lights in them and would like to know how to hook them up so they come on with the marker lights and blink with the turn signals (and hazards). Anyone have a link to the post the OP was asking about?
