eBay! Get the numbers off the back and just do a search for them. Best number to search on is the the Model/FCC number. I got 2 extras for mine, at 10.00 each. I was all , since the dealer wants 40.00+ for them.

not all slt's came with remote locks. I went to pick up a new key fob since I didnt get one when I bought my truck, and when I was talking to a friend at the dealer, (he works in the parts dept. ), he checked my vin and said that mine didnt come with remote locks. If you dont know for sure if your truck had it from the factory, go to a dealer and give them your vin to check and see if you can just get a new fob, or if you need to get the whole kit.

How much and what is involved in the remote kit?? Mine doesn't have remote locks and it sure would be handy to have that, especially OEM..

X2. I've got an 02 SLT with power locks. A remote would be nice.

If you have power locks, oem remote locks should just be a plug in deal, don't quote me on that though.

I am in the process of getting a Keyless Entry remote. I ordered one off of ebay that said it would work for any truck with power options from 95-01 or something like that, After i received it i asked for the directions the guy said he only had for the 97 ram and up, So i would think after 97 all trucks should come with a Keyless Entry Receiver and all you need would be Power Locks and a Remote. Long Story short the Sender(button on my keyring) didn't work so i ordered a kit off of ebay for $50 and that starts my truck and rolls down my windows if i choose to. So all i need is the package to come in and install it.

Does someone know for sure whether this is true?

Also, no one has explained what fob means.

fob(n).
1-A small pocket at the front waistline of a man's trousers or in the front of a vest, used especially to hold a watch.

2-A short chain or ribbon attached to a pocket watch and worn hanging in front of the vest or waist.
2a-An ornament or seal attached to such a chain or ribbon.

I guess it's an onament on your keychain.
