It's getting louder

Has anyone else noticed their truck getting louder when it's colder outside. : I don't meen when you first start it, but after it's warmed up and you're driving down the road does it seem louder? I've noticed mine is much louder in the cab, both engine and road noise. It only seems to be this loud when it's below 20* outside. [undecided] Let me tell you these 33x12.50 BFG MT's really get to singing when they're cold. <br><br>I just thought it was kind of strange that the difference in temp. made that big of difference in the cab of the truck. At least it's not like my old Cheby, it was loud all the time. :'(<br><br>DB

I agree it is louder, the truck also rides rough in the cold, probably the shocks get stiffer

Re:It's getting louder

Yea it was cool when I first bought the truck when I was 20 but now that I'm 25 the noise on long trips is getting kind of old. I like to hear the engine, I don't like to hear road noise coming through the seals around the doors. I bought a new drivers side door seal from a local body panel dealer and put it on the door seal and it made the truck a lot quieter going down the road. I have already put sound proofing on the back wall of the cab. That helped some, so next I'm getting one of those sound deading kits to put on it as well. Like the one in this thread Quiet Cummins That should qiet everything down nicely for those long road trips. 8)

Don't worry I still got my strait pipe on. ;D

You guys should here the 6.2 Chevy we have at work. It's literally so loud when you first start it in the morning that I have to plug my ears when I get out of it
