intermittent blower motor
my 2000 is acting up im, in the last 2 days i have lost the fan 3 times, it will shut off and nothing i do with the controls will turn it back on. after 10 min or so it will turn on again, i am yet to check for loose grounds do to weather conditions out here, 6* by noon today. my question is how often do the dials inside the cab go bad,or do i need to be looking for loose wires?
Thanks Dan

All good advice above. In addition, I'll add that whenever I see a burnt-out blower resistor, I do a current draw test on the motor. Most times I find that they burnt up the resistor because the motor is worn and drawing way too much current, even if it sounds normal. If they are drawing over 20 amps on high speed, it's too much. A new one is generally 15-16 amps.
