How to re-install clothes hook in ext Cab
Well I was in Lousiana this weekend and they have the finest roads. I had a couple suits on the rear drivers side clothes hook and the clothes hook pulled out of the ceiling while on the bumpiest interestate.
Has anyone taken the headliner down and pulled/replaced the clothes hooks in the ext. cab??
What is the secret of getting the hook back in to the roof?

That's not good news. I guess I'll have to play with the hook a little. I don't see any screw for the hook. Sure there is a screw in an 02'?

I did the same thing with my '02 extra cab last year. The hook pops apart, backwards from what you'd think. When you put it in place and push, the core snaps back to expand the "ears" and hold it in place. It's 2 pieces that lock together.........fool with it a bit and you'll figure it out. Lar.

I should mention that I went thru Lousy-ana about 1 1/2 months ago, and felt the same about the roads as you - especially on the freeway thru N'Awlins. What a spring pounding mess that was.........my boat/trailer must've been airborne about 1/2 the time. (can't see them in the mirrors) I enjoyed Louisiana, but the roads are a disgrace. I even made mention of it on a webpage. Take a look at http://www.webpictures.homestead.com/travelling.html Go to "Vacation '03," then to "Deep South." Lar.

Thanks Biglar.
There is a clip on each side of the hook holding the 2 pieces together. You have to bend those out then slide the hook part war from the shell. Then you can insert the prong into the hole and then push the shell back over the prong which then widens the prong and the clips keep it from moving out. Pretty easy application.
I guess if you ever wanted to remove the clip you just pull down hard on the hook and it'll pop right out. I know I had about 10lbs of clothes on the hanger and a bumpy highway to get mine off. *G*
