I'm thinking about getting a hood bug guard for the hood only (not above the headlights).
I have a small section of the hood where the clear coat has peeled away and thinking of adding a bug guard to hide the blemish for now.

I'm looking for a subtle guard - I've seen some that look to mount in front of the grill shell and others that appear to be behind the grill shell and just on the hood; I do not want the kind that are in front of or cover the grill shell.

Anyone have close-up pics of what I'm looking for and how it attaches?
The aftermarket sites tend to only show generic pics.

After much looking around I found the OEM guard to look the best.
It does cover the upper chrome strip of the grill though.
