Help diagnose an interior leak

I was vacuuming my carpets today and noticed a wet spot under the passenger floor mat. I am thinking heater core, but I did not detect any scent of antifreeze. What do ya'll think? It was not very wet or very big and it was isolated more towards the door sill and towards the front of the vehicle. I do not think it is a leak as we have not had any precipitation since last week.

From: Lingleville TX but active duty Air Force all over the world currently
I had this happen too and went to searching.....and i found out i had a hole in my floor board under the carpet......looked like a factory hole with a punchout that had come loose......i fixxed it and no more probs. also do you ahve a stick? It could leak around the shifter boot under the console? Just an idea. Also the rear light on the cab is notorious for leaking into the cab.

There was a tread either here or at TDR about this. Most problems were related to A/C condensation and the tube being to short. Try searching this form for A/C Tube or wet floor
and if possible the TDR form. There is a diffinite answer if its not the green stuff.

There are several articles about the A/C drain tubes dripping inside... Just extend them!

Or...

There is the classic heater core leakage... But this requires that you remove the entire dash to get the heater core out... Not fun...

Or...

There was a few articles about the brake light leaking and something about a weather boot on the firewall creating a mess...

That the only ideas I've got...

I wish DC would have followed Ford in the heater core access. The early 90's F series trucks, all you had to do to get to the heater core was remove the glove box. After that was a rectangular panel held on by 4 screws. Pop that off and SHAZAM, there is the heater core. Very nice and simple setup.

I think it probably is the AC condensation leaking into the cab. There is a drain tube that can plug up that drains out into the right fender area. Get underneath the truck and search that area....then squeeze the tube or run a wire up into it. Careful...too much poking could possibly damage something up there. Charlie.
