Headlight Relays and DRL's
I just built a headlight relay wiring harness for my 2001 Ram 2500. It is a Canadian truck with Daytime Running Lights and I would like to keep them functional as they are a legal requirement here. The harness is the Jim Lane design with the Bosch relays, I am having a hard time finding a wiring diagram to keep the DRL's functioning with the relay system. I have heard that this harness will not work with DRL's without some modification.........anyone?
Thanks!

You could go the route that I did if you are interested. I ordered the DRL kit from Daniel Stern and this disables your DRL module and replaces it with a new module that operates your turn sig lights as DRL's. This is perfectly legal setup for DRL's and I am sure that you have seen many OEM setups that use the signal lights as DRL's instead of the headlights. I wired my set so that when signalling the opposite light goes out to avaoid any confusion - seems to be working well and I have had this set up for over a year now.
Cheers!

Yes....I just dis-connected my DRL...Doj Dewd (Jason) and myself built a custom relay harrness for both my 95 and his 2001..I'm not sure if Jason was able to custom build a harness to have the DRL to work...Now I'm curious what he did with his DRL setup...
