Headlight reflector
My driver side headlight was really dark when I first got my truck and replaced the bulbs and still didn't fix so then I notice that the reflector material inside the lense was worn off now it's kinda a dark grey. I tried to dissassemble the lense and couldn't figure out how to without crackin the glass. Does anyone know how to dissassmble these lenses and if so do you know of something I could spray the inside with to brighten it up? Thanks guys, Will

I've just broken headlight assemblies trying to take them apart, they're glued together pretty good.
Think you might be stuck with buying a new assembly. Plenty of aftermarket sources available, no need for the dealer.

Yeah, it looks like I may just end up buyin a replacement. I did do some searchin around on here once I got home from work and saw a tread over in the 3rd gen section bout puttin them in the oven on 200 degrees for bout 10 mins and the glue will soften up...do any of ya'll know if this will work with our lights? Thanks for your help guys, Will

I've tried using a heat gun to get them apart with no luck. Sort of feel like you're not going to be able to fix the reflective problem anyway.
I replaced the headlights on an Explorer at work a few weeks ago that were so sand pitted the light barely came out. Old lights were the one glued together piece type, new aftermarket ones had a removable replacement lens.
If you have to replace with aftermarket I would try to see if you can get this type.

Yeah, it looks like I'm gonna just have to buy a new one. I found some new lenses on ebay for like 50 bucks a piece though so it looks like I'm gonna go that route. Thanks guys
