Hail hit a high end horse trailer dealer near me this past Monday, looks like it got just about every trailer on the lot, $900,000 inventory. The had damage on the roofs and sides. This was baseball sized hail. The owner says she has some coverage, but this will probably put her out of business as people don't want a dented $75,000 horse trailer and aluminum can't be fixed without replacing the panels.. The state had to bring out snow plows to get it off the road, had like 6-9 inches.

Insurance company quote came back at $3200 using dent wizard...quite a difference from the bodyshop quote at $6900. They want the dent wizard to do what he can do, then get another quote from the body shop for the remainder of the repair. This sux!!!!!!!!

Got a call from a Dent Wizard rep today. She said that they had a meeting with my insurance rep & that Dent Wizard would like to take another look at the truck to see what they can do. I guess my insurance company is a little mad about paying a body shop wage for the repairs. Kinda mad, I mean Isn't that a joke? Anyways, I told her that my truck is scheduled for repairs & I've already driven 60 miles the first time to look at it, they can come to me this time. I am getting tired of the games here. I want my truck fixed before sled season.

You can't really tell from these pics, but it gives a idea of the damage. The dents are actually alot worse than you can see in the pics.

Hail is never good for business, and the photos give a pretty good idea. It's gonna be a waste of time but I'd bet dent wizard won't work out, so at least you'll get the work you wanted in the end.

You can not see any damage in the pic they sent .

I kinda told the Dent Wiz that they already had 2 chances to fix my truck & they aren't gonna hold me up any longer. My truck is going in the bodyshop after the holiday. I already sent the $3000 check back to my insurance com[pany & they are sending me a check for my original quote of $6900. for new panels & paint.

I'm buying doors from a local guy who rebuilds Dodge Cummins trucks after collisions etc. He has a set of doors that are perfect & price is right. I'm ordering a custom hood with SRT10 style scoop. The bedsides are not bad at all, maybe one or two dents per side...easily straightened. The body shop is going to repaint the entire truck, door jambs included. I haven't decided for sure yet, but thinking of going with Lincoln MKZ silver with the bottom of the truck sprayed Line-x black.
