Goin' Cummins

Well, as the topic says, I'm wanting to go to a Cummins. I currently drive a '90 Ford F-250 7.3L IDI, and needless to say shes gone to the dogs, (just ask the likes of A-Poc and Kcastun.) This past summer I purchased a brand new ATV, and the ignorance of my teenage mind figured my truck would last me a little while, well the truck pretty much shot now, flies out of 3rd gear, and its started to fly out of reverse too, the box is rotted out (only being held on by two bolts) Among many other little "imperfections". So therefore my ATV will soon be up for sale, and if i can get what i want out of it, I'm looking into a CTD, gas is not an option, lol well unless I get cheap.

These are the trucks I am currently looking into, there both '98 24v's. Is there anything that I should know about them, any problems, major things i should be aware of?

98 24v 1
98 24v 2

All i can tell you , is the black one was a company service truck , and the green one is more $$.

Eric @ steeves should do you right , i talked with him in his yard for about 2.5 hours about trucks one day. He was the first person i had met that was aware of the lift pump/ IP pump problems on the 24V trucks , he HAS a pressure gauge there that i bet he will install on the truck for you to test drive it , and see that everything is copasetic.

The only major down side (besides being overvalved) is that you cannot check the codes in the pcm without a scan tool. in the newer overvalved trucks you can check the PCM codes through the odometer window.

P.S. - I'll help you bomb it , but i can't make it faster than mine
