Gelled Fuel? What to do?
#46
I don't know how he does his but I filter down to 2 microns through a water separator & use 50% winter 70-90% summer, for me ATF, WMO, gear oil, HYD fluid (make sure its dino) so far any dino based non synthetic oil works.

Just my opinion, but there is a lot of crap, & additves in used oil. Perhaps the simple 12 valves do not have issues, but I think it can cause problems. To me, it is not worth the risk. I do run 2 stroke TCW, however. Also run Power service. Cheap insurance between the 2, especially with ULSD.

Amen Supr 2 stroke oil and then every oil change a good couple of doses of PS.
Another thing for keeping fuel from gelling is to mix with Koroseen, however i dont know if this would damage these newer engines but i really doubt it.
I wouldnt use ATF in my truck...maybe 30 years ago but not now.
