Fuel Tank

Hey you guys I want to see if yall can help me.
On top of the fuel tank where the sender is there is a nipple sticking out that looks like a vacumn hose or something goes. Mine has nothing there and sometimes it leaks diesel. Any of you guys have the same problem or know what goes there?

There are two outlets, one is a vent the other an larger one for an auxiliary engine.
The aux outlet should have a rubber plug on it, the vent not. Sometimes the vent does fail and will leak.
Not sure if the vent is available separately, if not and you have to buy the entire module you're looking at around $300.

Thanks

I'm planing on putting a gravity fed aux fuel tank with a vent on it. Will it hurt to plug the vent on the tank?

Are you going to have the aux tank gravity feed into the main tank all the time?
If so you won't need it. The main tank cap also has a vent.

Dodge calls it a rollover valve. There was a recall on it several years ago. Maybe yours still needs done.
