Fuel sending unit clicks?
I was laying under my truck while it was running today and I noticed a clicking/ticking. After a little nosing around, I noticed it was coming from the fuel sending unit on the top of the tank. Is this normal, or something to worry about? No leaks or anything out of the ordinary except for the clicking coming from the unit.
Thanks,
Shawn

Mine's pretty consistent. I guess you could call it a problem if after 240 miles it's at half tank, but I can't pass the blame to the fuel sending unit for that

Mine did the same thing. It has stopped after i changed the fuel module and the fuel lines to rubber hose. I dont know if that has anything to do with it. My two cents worth is maybe it's the steel fuel lines transmitting the pulses from the IP.

yea, if it's the extra fuel comming back through your return line it's totally normal. the sound is spurts of fuel chattering through the overflow valve. try a few cable ties around the return line in that area.
