Fuel pressure gauge not reading correct

Hi folks,
Just got done with install of Auto Meter electric FPG. Prior to the install the mechanical gauge read 14 psi. About what I expected because im half way through the next fuel filter change in miles. The electric reads 12.5. Auto Meter claims these gauges are real accurate. Is it normal for it to be off by 10%?

I dont drop below 10 psi moving or WOT so I assume thats 11.5 psi. Crusing it reads 11 psi (12.5?). The install went in without any hitches and I followed all instructions meticulously.

I have heard the electric are not accurate. Im glad I chose electric because it became pretty obvious during the install that mechanical would of been dangerous if it sprung any leaks.

Comments are welcome.

I had one in my other CTD it worked great and very acurate, however now the current owner says it has some intermittant problem where it will jump up 20 PSI and read like 35-40 for some time then go back to around 14 like normal just something to look out for

I went to get some eats and now the gauge is reading alot better. Getting 14 psi with it in drive and stopped, little over 13 at idle in neutral. Much better.

On a side note, Genos Garage rocks. I used their hose kit and mounted the sending unit drivers side, hinge high on the firewall in the only blank space there was anywhere. The hose kit is exactly the right everything. Fittings, hose length and quality. Perfection.
