Finally had time..

well im a mechanic and i dont feel like working on any car after five lol so now that we have been slow in the shop i have put in my gauges, 5" turbo back, scangauge and even had some tractor lights around so i mounted them on the side of the hitch kinda hidden for reverse lights... the truck is sweet but since im flat rate im going to be broke next week

I got 2 hours this week, 12 last. Work needs to pick up, big time! On the bright side, you got some goodies installed.

lol Right on. Work around my shop is pretty slow as well. Friday night I had my truck in cleaning under the hood, checking bolt torques on my exhaust manifold and turbo, that sorta thing,lol.

You could make an invoice for all the work you did and submit it, and then pay for it.

I really feel for you guys on flat rate with the economy the way it is. I was a tech for 10 years and got out 2 years ago next week to go work for New York City Transit (subways). I took a little cut in gross pay but it almost balances out after health insurance and a 1/2 pay pension after 25 years was the icing on the cake. Best of luck to all of you from a former flat rate tech!

I used to work at a international dealership, work started slowing down. about 2 years ago. Now im a tech for a transit system. there is always something to do in a fleet of about 75 buses
