Fan Switch, or blower ?
Hey gang,
Recently drove home a '01 Reg cab, auto, w/ CTD. The fan only seems to work on the "high" setting. Would you suspect this condition to be a switch problem, or a blower motor issue?
I was able to find a switch assembly on ebay for $10, so I snatched it up right at the last minute. Has anybody replaced this cluster? Any instruction as to the best way to get this swapped out with the old one would be appreciated. Dash have to be disassembled?
Thanks for any insight.

It has one screw holding it up in the housing near the motor. It can probably be fixed. They have a solder link, out in th eopen that can be resoldered. Take it out, you will see what I mean.

It could be the fan speed switch. Have run into that before on a CH Mack. The resistor was the first place I looked. Was one of the switches. High position was the last to quit, before I finally had a chance to look into the problem.
