Factory Fog Lights

I have the factory fog lights on my 98. I was wondering what the max wattage bulb that can be safely run in them.<br>Thanks<br>Chuck

I'm not sure, but I can sugest a way to increase the bulb wattage to whatever the maximum is for that socket. Separate the connector near the lights and wire in a relay with the coil going to the main harness. Then wire in the lights off the contact side of the relay powering them directly from the battery. Then you don't have to worry about burning the switch or the stock relay out. I did a similar setup when I added the PIAA 40's in my bumper as I wasn't sure if the backup switch and wiring could handle the 110 watts. Relay and light harnesses can can obtained from PIAA, Hella, or any of the other driving light mfgr's.
