Extra Port on fuel tank ????
The dodge manuel ( 2002 ) shows an unused port on the fuel tank ( where all the lines come out )
Anyone know what it is for? Is it an outlet or return?

The extra port is a pickup, it only goes a little farther than halfway down so as not to run the engine out fuel. A person could use it as a return line, but when the fuel in the tank got below the pickup it would cause foaming in the tank.

Jed is right, it's an additional fuel source for another engine. We use it on a CTD at work to run a 2 cylinder diesel engine in the back that powers a drill rig.

On my Ex Father in laws Dodge we used the extra port to plumb in the in bed tank that way he could use smaller lines and not worry about spraying fuel out the vent if he left his transfer pump on.
