Wife called from a break on drive to Dallas. She called and said when she got back to the truck and started it horn honking and truck would start and run for a second and stop.
I am not sure if someone tampered with the truck during the 15 minuits she was gone, or if she somehow did something.

She could not stop it using the remote. Still honking and no run.

Had her get out of the truck, lock it with the remote, unlock it with the key and try it. Vola it worked. I am no smarter that she is, but when we first got the truck and I was in and out and trying things it did it to me. Called the dealer and the shop told me to get out of truck, lock it and unlock it with the key.

Not sure if Murphy is in Dallas, or just a gremlin along for the ride.

How is it activated?

Not sure how it is activated. If the truck is locked and someone tampers with the truck, it is activated. Like if truck is locked, and a door is forced open it activates. The truck has the factory alarm system.
