Dual steering stabilizer

Dual steering stabilizer
I am thinking of putting a new (dual) steering stabilizer on my truck. Can anyone tell me what the difference between the duals that are "stacked" in the OEM location and the duals that put a the stabilizers end to end. Also, I would like to hear comments from people that have them how they like them. I have seen Skyjacker and Heckethorne (Rough Country) installs, are there any other brands folks reccomend?

Re:Dual steering stabilizer
I've been told that you can't "stack" a dual stabilizer on the CTD 4x4 because of clearence problems -- whether you go on the bottom or top of the link. The only choice, therefore, is the end-to-end type that "throws" two stabilizers across the length of the axle. That information comes from Rancho and 4x4 Parts. If anyone knows differently, I'd like to hear about it.

Re:Dual steering stabilizer
I can say for a fact that the Skyjacker dual stabilizer (stacked) fits. The truck I had it on was a '97 CTD but keep in mind it did have a front leveling kit on it so that may have added some room for them but I don't remember anything being close to it. BTW Skyjacker says to drill holes in the frame to mount the bracket to the frame but I really recommend having it welded, drilling through the frame is a b*tch.

John
