drivers side window motor

I am having a hard time getting my drivers window to go up and down. I replaced the motor with a brand new one from Napa, and the problem didn't go away.

The window goes down fine, but when I try to roll the window up, it seems like it is in a bind about 3/4 of the way up. It slows down almost to a stop, and acts like the window is going to break. I don't even roll it up and down anymore, because I am scared that it will break or stay open.

The truck has never been in a wreck, as far as I know.

Any help or suggestions?

Perhaps you should take the door panel off and take a look at why is it binding? I would guess that one of the brackets broke from metal fatigue.

spary a little silicon spray or lube up in between where the window rolls up. Did the same to me and kept blowing out the motors. It's probably just friction and the window is getting binded up somehow.

well, the motor was only held on by 2 bolts instead of 3. They greased the 'track' where the glass runs, and also the gears of the motor weren't jiving with the gears on window. Window works great now...

Ok, so, did you grease something else? Or, was it just a case of the motor not being secured properly?

Same thing on my passenger side, too.
