Draining fuel tank (diesel)
Hi Guys,
Just a thought and I have to admit, I haven't looked at my Dodge fuel tank, has anyone installed a drain valve or fitting on the bottom of the fuel tank on their truck? It sure would make draining the fuel tank - for whatever reason, much easier. I know on the other trucks I have not seen this simple setup, yet on heavy equipement drains are common. Is there an obvious reason that I am missing or is it just the way the come from the factory. Same sort of set up for auto transmission pans - the drains make maintenance much easier.
Your thoughts and ideas ?
Thx

Probably for theft reasons. I have thought about this in the past as it has crossed my mind. It may be some DOT safety thing too as far as passenger vehicles go.
