door falling off
Does anyone have an aftermarket source for door hinges or pins on dodge trucks. my driver side hinges are worn badly and chrysler wants two arms and a leg for each hinge and does not sell pins for them.

www.rockauto.com is the place where I buy all my parts if I can wait to have them shipping to me. they have pins and bushings for like $5 no hinges though. it's a great site for parts. And No I don't have anything to do with the rock auto site this is not a add.

I just got a set of pins and bushings from the 'help' section in the local auto parts place.
I still find that after replacing them that theres play in the hinges. I had to put stacks of washers between the hinge and door to get the alignment right.

I bought a set of pins and bushings off a guy on e-bay. Claimed he was an engineer and that the pins were hardened and the bushings were bronze. the install was a little complicated but wow what a difference. I don't think I'll ever wear them out again!

I got the pins/bushings from the "Help" section... worked well for the last several years.
You leave the hinge installed on the truck, and can remove the door side, IIRC ... certainly, removing the truck side of the hinge is a HUGE PITA.
