Door Badge/Emblem....No "Cummins 24V..."
This is a really cheezy question but valid....
My truck was manuf. 06-02, one of the last
2nd Gen'ers I would guess if typical production starts for
the next model year in July/August?
Check out the pic below of the door badge, no "Cummins 24V blah blah" on the badge..and for those who wonder, yes under the hood lies a 24V CTD engine
A. Did they stop using the "cummins 24v badge" towards 2nd gen run?
B. Does anyone else out there have this emblem? and a CTD under the hood?
I've looked thru MULTIPLE sites, and NEVER seen this badge anywhere......at least on a CTD.......
The truck has not been repainted, bolts under hood are factory, not scuffed, doors are good and not a stich of paint work on the truck......
Thanks in advance,
02Rattle

That looks like the emblem used on the 03 model year. Did you buy it new? If not, and it is a 02 model I would say that the previous owner may have changed the emblem.

I have an 02 deivered in May, built in late March/ early April. The Badge on my truck is actually a 2 piece badge. The top part looks identical to what you posted and is used on all 2500s. The second badge is the "CUMMINS 24 VALVE TURBO DIESEL" This badge is made to fit tighly under the "RAM 2500" and appear to be one piece from a distance. I have seen the cummins badges on eBay before.

That is the same badge that is on my 94,the cummins does infact go right under it,I may have a couple of the { cummins turbo diesel} that fits under it,I will look and see if I still have them? You can get the factory 24v ones from the dealer, they are not that pricey, Goodluck Rick

I thought that these were all 1 badge....
Is it at all possible that the truck was repaired???....this looks like a gasser badge to me.

Yes it does,I took my door emblems off as one was bad, they come in two pieces as stated above by watchthis,It takes some rubbing compound to clean up the aftermath,I got a bud that works for a dodge dealer and he got me some new 03 emblems that are on the front fenders, they look sharp,Goodluck RIck

You guys are great!
I actually bought a truck not to long ago that was damaged and returned it the next morning...This one, I've had multiple friends, body guys, etc look over it and say it hasn't had a stich of paint re-done.
Something else that makes me feel better is the little bit of emblem "goo" like black double sided tape or adhesive that is under the RAM 2500.......
My thought is either a rag or auto carwash snagged one side, and the previous owner took the other one off.....
But on that subject of paint, are your rear wheel wells black or the same color as your bed? and your lower fender support posts are 2 colors? Black and the color of your truck?
Thanks for all your input guys, you make this new guy feel welcome and very informed....
