Does my Dodge RAM have a rear brake proportioning valve?

Hi,

I'm a little confused if my truck is equipped with what is called a rear brake proportioning valve.

I've got a 2002 RAM 2500 CTD 4x4 with 4-wheel disc anti-lock brakes. Did these trucks use this option on them for the rear brakes?

Also, if it is used....does the raising of the rear of the truck 1-2 inches affect the abs brakes or this valve?

Thanks,
Mike

with 4 wheel abs..I don't you'll find it.

without 4 wheel abs yes..I have a 99 and an 00 and both have the valve.
I would think that raising the truck without re adjusting the rod to the valve would be an issue.

Thank you for the information. I was wondering. Where is this usually located on the rear of the truck if a Dodge RAM does have this?

mine are located just above the rear axle drivers side and mounted to the frame. there's a arm the fastens to the axle..I found this on my '99 because the rear lines leaked..rusted through..

The load sensing valve in the rear didn't start until '97
