Disable the cab imprisonment system?
Iv heard it can be done, but how do we disable the 'feature' that locks both doors when apx speed of 20km is reached?
This is very farm unfriendly, Drive down the line with tools in the pass. seat, then get out (forgeting pliers) go to pass side to get pliers the door is locked. keys in IGN. walk around
5 times is funny 15 times cannot be expressed on this forum.
Anyone succesfully disable this

Turn the ignition on/off 4 times, leaving the ignition on the 4th time. Then hit the power door lock button to lock IIRC and you should hear the little chime ding once.
If this doesn't work I'll double check my manual.

Hi bob4x4, sorry im unfamiliar with dbr3 (some programer or code reader?)
Dinner
That would only work for that period that the truck was running right?
after I shut it off I would have to do the 4 key thing again?
If so I was hoping for another more permenant approach, something maybe with a large saw or hammer. or maybe just a screwdriver and soldering iron.

The way Dinner suggested will be a permanent fix, unless you want to turn it back on then you just repeat the process. It tells you the exact process in the owners manual.

that's pretty cool, wasn't aware of that procedure. I don't need it right now but it's still cool to learn something new about these trucks.

I know my '02 does. Just a guess, it's probably 98.5-02s, where they switched the dash and put in dual airbags. It's definitely a pain. I think I turned it off about 2 weeks after I bought the truck in '02.
