Defrost/dash actuator

Had the issue like so many others with the air blowing through the defrost only. Traced it to oil in the actuator right above the go pedal. When pulling off, the little plastic arm it hooks to spun loose and when I went to rotate it back into position, it came out. I can not for love or money get that box open to get the flapper control so I can reconnect the arm to it. Right now it blows pane, defrost, and floor. Even if I get a new actuator, I still have a problem, since I have nothing to hook it to.

Any help will be appreciated. With fall not far away, I will be needing defrost.

sound like you might be moving the dash out to get the HVAC box..ug..not fun..done that twice..can you get a new actuator? once its out it should be too hard to replace.
