There are companies that dealers use to repair cracked plastic panels on vehicles. They do a decent job, and the repair is almost impossible to see. Maybe you can find one in the yellow pages or talk to dealers in your area.

I use a product called 303 protectant on all my plastic and rubber. I have been into whitewater rafting for quite a while and that is wat we use on our boats, one of my boats is 8years old and has never seen shade just lots of 303 The price is a bit steep but worth it.

Geno's now sells dash covers. Don't know anybody who has used one yet but it might be worth a look.

Mine is cracked from passenger airbag to windshield, not sure why it happened.
Not planning on dishing out 3 bills to get it replaced either...

I just noticed mine has cracked from the windshield to the steering wheel and on the passenger side in the hump in the dash? I truely believe Armor All has caused this. That stuff is detrimental to anything it touches. If it doesn't bleach it out it dries it out. Has anyone gone to a body shop to see what they can get them for? That's the thing about older vehicles the outside still looks good but the dash is cracked and I worn the cloth off the arm rest?

Ive noticed a lot of cracked dash stories on the web and most of the ones ive seen are on the 01 dodges mine cracked right after the 36k warranty expired and it still upsets me that dodge thinks its normal.

Does anyone happen to know if the replacements from Dodge are any better than the factory ones. The cracked dash really bothers me. I am about to replace my evaporator in the next few weeks and while the dash is out, I was just going to replace it...but not if it is of the same quality.

Mine was cracked in several places when I bought it. I'm going to pull it, use something akin to a fiberglass repair kit to repair it from the underside. From there, I'm looking at either a dashmat, or even trying a spray-in or roll-on bedliner on it. That will hide the crack and give it a surface where that odd item placed there will stay, versus skate back and forth from side to side as I drive.

Must be you hot weather guys that crack dashes, like Evil said, I've never seen one up here.

However, every Ford dash up here cracks!!!!! Mine was.

Must be Dodge cracks in heat. Ford Cracks in cold.

Hey guys, there's hope, and it's cheap too.

They have replacement dashes at Genos Garage now for pretty cheap.

Here is the one for 98 - 02 trucks.

and

Here is the one for 94 - 97s.

I am not sure if this is a replacement or an over lay. Either way, it's much cheaper than what the dealers want.
