mine is an 01.5 its gvwr is 8800 no over loads or sway bar with 3 inch springs. What i was told when i bought it and asked about the swaybar and helper springs is that the late 01's, with the all wheel disk brakes(01.5) and the 02's didn't have them on the 2500.

I don't mean to come across as a d#$k- I know tons about the 94-97 trucks and varying less about the later 2nd gens. I Do have access to many FSM's and dealer lit (Comes with the job) for most vehicles from the beginning through current, but I can only read and remember so much, especially when I have less and less interest in the later models.
*EDIT** Alright, you got me interested- Dodge discontinued the light 3/4 ton models (the 7500GVWR) in the 1997 model year. So all 2500's from 1998 up are 8800's. Hence the confusion - and something DID change- they dropped the light spring package, which would mean the 2500's from then up should all use 3 inch springs.
