I paid 15 bucks a drum, and you probably will have better drums than the off brand 47 dollar autozone drums.

thanks guys..what are the cheapest quickest places to do this? Speedy? does Napa and Autozone do this?...The drums look good but did suffer a bit when my rears were locking up for a couple weeks and one of them has some slight discoloration spots from heat but no cracks and lots of surface area still

I take mine to an alignment and brake shop whose owners I know. I imagine most places will still be able to turn drums. I would call first, and see who's the cheapest. I'm always amazed how some shops are proud of their work, and charge accordingly.
With disc brakes on all new cars drums may be getting harder to find a cheap and quick turn however.

Take them to an auto machine shop. They know what they are doing. Do the drums have the thickness so they don't go undersize and/or they out of round? A good machine shop willo tell you befor cutting them. At the Napa, AutoZone, Pep-Boys, ect. they will askyou if you want fries with them drums . They may machine them undersize or out of round. I've had it happen to me with an all most new set of rotors that got warped and tryed to save a buck or two . As for brake drums/disks made in China THEY ARE JUNK most of the time.

Cost should be about $15 each for turning the drums. The one that has heat spots will need to be replaced. (assuming that its not just discoloration) These spots can't be turned out because they are harder thatn the surrounding metal and the brake bit will "skip" over the hot spot.
