Which control arm bushings?

Well, at 200k it't time to replace the sloppy control arm bushings. I'm thinking poly, but don't looking forward to any sqeeks. Anybody have graphite impregnated poly.

Or prehaps just go back with rubber.

Thanks for any input.

I priced the poly ones for mine a few weeks ago , big time expensive , I think they were 80$ PER BUSHING. I replaced all 8 with new rubber ones for 50 bucks.

Don't know how they hold up in a Ram. Have them in my Datsun Z. Try suspension(s?).com if you decide to buy. They had the best prices last winter & the owner knows about suspensions.

They've done just fine. No noise and smooth. I'd say I've put @ 35,000 miles on them so far.

How hard is it to press the new rubber bushings back in?

As far as the poly bushings go, do you notice more vibration being transferred to the truck?

The bushings are alot harder to press out than to press new ones in. My biggest problem was getting the bolts out , 12 years of salt and water had them rusted in there pretty good. I ended up cutting all but one of the 8 bolts out.

I don't guess there's more vibration, at least I didn't notice any.

Hello all, Is there an easy way to tell how warn out the caster bushings are and when to change them? Had my 98.5' in for an alignment and the caster is out but ran out of time to get the siezed nuts off the caster bolts. I am soaking them with pen fluid untill I can get it back on the hoist. I seem to have some knocking up from somwhere?? Thanks
