Compressor cycle times..low freon?
2 seconds on, 5 seconds off....nonestop. A/C isn't cold anymore, just cool. Everything else about the system works.
I have searched for about 3 days on this subject and only found a few posts on how long the compressor cycle should be. I know it depends on a few different parameters, but... does my cycle time lapses sound right?, at 75 degrees outside, idling in the driveway, truck fully warmed up, A/C set to max-high.
Can I just take it to an A/C place and have them tell me if it's good or not?

I dont exactly know the cycle time of mine but it does the same as yours. My a/c temp warmed up when the temps got up above 100 this summer. I think mine just needs freon. Winter time now so it gets put on back burner. I would recharge the system first.

Low freon, 2 lbs new and ice cold air again.
Let this be a warning about liars that work in the auto industry. Get a second opinion, and ask forums like this. It saved me about $1400
