Clockspring part number

I've been trying to locate the part number for a clockspring for my 96 and can't seem to come up with it. Does anybody have it handy? Everything that I see is 97 and newer. Also, does anyone know if one from a different model would work?

Thanks

The clockspring is a device that fits behind the steering wheel. Basically as the steering wheel turns the spring will turn with it. This connects the wiring for the horn, airbag, and cruise. If the spring breaks it causes issues with the accessories mentioned. Unfortunately, contrary to the service bulletins and advice of a Dodge mechanic, if the clock spring is broken, the Airbag WILL deploy, as mine did while turning into a parking spot. This also makes my horn honk when the wheel turns. So. . I had to pull the fuse as a quick fix, but it is located under the hood and just happens to be the same fuse that runs the AC. I want to get this all fixed before summer as the cruise and AC are pretty important to me.

Depends on wether or not you have cruise or not. With cruise part number is 56007627. With out cruise part number is 56007624. Hope this helps. By the way they are 179.00 and 155.00 respectively.
