i mounted in the same area as rob, although my radio is alot smaller and i mounted it more off center towards me. most installs i see are mounted to the trans hump

wish my truck wasn't in the shop for trans work or i would take a picture of where mine is but its to the left side of the steering column on the plastic peice just under the column and i just have the mic cable wrapped around the column over to the shifter then around it and back the mic just dangles on the road the mic never really get thrown around and off road its normally sitting on the middle seat
