The 96 I just picked up had a caravan camper shell on it with no tailgate. The previous owner made the shell custom to fit the dodge. To my surprise tonight when I removed the shell the PO cut the tabs that the tail gate slide on at the bottom of the bed. Anyone have a picture of the bottom bracket the tailgate attaches to and pivots on? I want to see what it looks like.....

 

They should be bolt on.

Can you just replace the mounting lugs?
