Calibration for 35" tires

I have a 97 with 35's on it, and got pulled over today buy the cops, yeah that sucked, but i did get out of a ticket, I told the cop I just got the tires a week ago, and had no idea that with the bigger tires, the speed changes. However I would like to know how hard is it to change the calibration on it?

You'll need a different gear for the speedometer drive. It's not expensive, like $30-40, and is easy to replace. The only question is which one (number of teeth) that you will need. I once saw a good online calculator to determine this, but I have not been able to find it since.

It's hosted on a Miata site, but it still works.
