Looks good! The only reason I haven't done it yet is the fear of leaks in the long run.

Looks great. I put a set on my truck earlier this year. I used blue RTV to seal mine.

atc250r ,

What would you like to know about the lights? Part numbers, kit, types, etc?

Recon makes some good kits(50-60$), you can get like 3 different lens colors from them and they aren't as long as the ones in the picture, more of a triangle shape. I got the smoke lenses and put a white bulb in it and I think they look great. And just so people do know, it is LEGAL to have white or gray colored cab lights. I brought my truck by the police station and asked because no one could ever give a straight answer, but that may also vary by state...

the ones i used are from the 03's up...according to the part number, (#82207252)..that is the correct style for the 98-02's that came with them from the factory, for some reason you cant get those lights in a kit with the correct template, but its not a big deal.the dealer told me that the kit wont work with the 2nd gens, and that i needed the older style, which i didnt want. your just tapping into the wiring anyways, there is no "harness" that has to match up, which is what they told me. the part that is wrong is the template, its for the new style trucks with different roofs. once the headliner is out you can see where the bullbs go through at, the roof is marked. just drill up through those holes with a 7/8 bit. then, i just had a buddy that had lights on his truck come over and i made a templete from his using some masking paper, to get the location for the mounting holes. i did this to my brothers truck, then saved the templete, and have since done it to mine. the first time it took about an hour and a have to do it all, template, headliner, everything, the second time i was done in under an hour..its a great addition to the trucks, makes em look tough, in my opinion..

they must be giving that kit the wrong part # cause they definately look like factory lights for 99-02 2nd gens. The 3rd gens look pretty similar, but they have the mounting holes front to back, not side to side like the later 2nd gens. The pre-99 2nd gens. are the ones that had the triangle shaped ones.

Nice install. I installed a set on my last truck. Never had a problem. I used clear RTV silicone on both sides of the gasket and blue loctite on the bolts. I used the loctite because I noticed one of the nuts had become loose after a few hundred miles; they weren't locknuts.

How hard was it to get the headliner back up?
I have a computer up top. How much more difficult would that make it?
