Buzzing

At first I thought it was just in my head but another person told me the same thing that I hear. On the drivers side in the cab I get a loud buzzing sound sometimes not all the time an I just can't figure out what it is. Anybody have any ideas. You can see below what my truck is. This has me stumped
Thanks Bob ???

Re:Buzzing

Just a guess...but when this happened to me it was a leak in my boost gauge. I see you have one...

Re:Buzzing

Is it a buzz or a whistle? A long time ago there was a thread about a coke bottle sounding whistle over the top of cab. Something having to do with a leaky seal or something.

Re:Buzzing

There is a TSB out there that addresses a buzzing sound that comes from the fuel pedal, or linkage.

I dont know if this is what your hearing or not.... but may be something to check out.

Buzzing issues have been brought up here before.
Check out:

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...=10464;start=0

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d=7728;start=0

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d=4262;start=0

Good Luck.

Rich

Re:Buzzing

I get a buzz from the accelerator pedal when the speed control is engaged if you lightly touch the pedal it goes away. Had a part ordered by the dealer and am having it installed tommorow, I will let you know how it turns out. The part was ordered from TSB 14-04-98.

Re:Buzzing

There are 2 things I would check. The first is the 4 wheel drive engagement lever. Grab it when you hear the buzz/noise. If it stop, you found it. Another source of noise is a low fluid condition in the transfer case.
John

Re:Buzzing

Hay this i a buzzing like a buzzing in your ear it sounds like it is coming from the left side of the engine compartment when I am stoped if I open the drivers door you can really hear it like it is buzzing from the engine compartment. This really has me stumped sometimes I think it is just in my head BUT others have heard it also. So I'm still open for more sugestions.
But hay thanks for the ones that you's already gave.
Bob

Re:Buzzing

Bob, does the buzzing noise increase in volume as engine RPM increases? Is the power steering fluid low? Does it buzz in F N and reverse? This is a stumper.
John
Re:Buzzing

Deezilla: Mine had a buzz from the drivers side fuse box. The fuse block was tight... but this little fuse puller buzzed like mad.

HTH

AlpineRAM
