Broken Drink holder/Dash console
It finally let go, lucky the beers were empty ( kiddin). Anyways, where the flip up part ( has 2 clips to lock on) locks on to the actual drink holder, those clips are broke. ( still enough there to hold on to it barely) Do i have to replace the whole darn thing? HAs anyone made some kind of a bracket that works? Im sure this piece is gonna be as much as a VP44....Any ideas?? If you need a pictture of where it broke, i can post.

One of my dogs stepped on mine and broke it. **** huntin dogs see someting outside running or flying and they can't help themselves.
For the past few months a sweatshirt has been holding it up. I was thinking of going in the shop and building something out of wood for that spot and cup holders. Maybe add the cb above he cup holders then. Just don't have time right now.

Mine kept breaking loose so I just modeled a small piece of plastic to sister up to the hole. I superglued it to the outside part of the hole/connector so it would push against the male dowel part and hold it in better. The plastic was about the same thickness as the original one and I drilled the same size hole in the sistered plastic. It works like a champ....

Mine broke at the rings that go over the little studs...you know where I'm talking about??? I got a washer (to make a new hole) and JB Welded it onto the drink holder and it worked great until the kids got to fighting while I was in the store and I guess you know the rest of the story. Anyway, at least I know how to rig it up when I can get some time. Heck, just buy a Geno's Smoothie and then when you fix it, you'll have 4 cup holders...that's what I did.

Just did a fix on mine today it broke at the last hinge part near the cup holders, all i did is took out the two rubber bumpers and drilled an 5/16 hole in the black plastic hinging piece where the rubber bumpers were and used two 5/16 x1 bolts and bolted it up from the inside by taking off the outer cover by the pull handle, and only snugged the nuts to hold it all together and used my cut off wheel to cross cut the bolt and nut to keep the nut from falling off as i ran out of lock nuts.....hope this make cents..

same place where mine broke, I just took the whole thing apart and got a washer that was big enough to fit on those pins, and I JB welded it on there and the washer should snap right on.

Mine broke in the same place. I took the whole thing off and molded a complete new set of ears with putty epoxy (like the mightyputty crap As seen on tv) then with a dremel I touched up where eversagged or was too wide and now 3 yrs later it's still holding strong. No pics because I'm not risking taking it apart
