95 brakes
I started with repacing the rotors and pads on the front axle. the brake system was not opened. calipers were pushed back. Tested the brakes and pedal was spongy. changed master cyl. blead brks, no change. replace master again. no change. Clamped off front brk hoses pedal was hard. removed clamps pedal spongy. changed brk hoses, pedal still spongy. Clamped hose again, pedal hard. Replaced calipers, pedal still spongy. The brk system is on a 95 ram 2500 4X4 diesel. Any ideas would help. Thanks Paws

brakes go to floor
I have the same problem on a 96 Ihave changed the master cyl 6 times new rubber lines .new cal. new rear shoes. no change went to dealer they called factory rep. he said this is normal because of the design of the vacum boost but Ihave owned this truck since new and it never did this before I have been dealing with this for 2 years and no one can seem to fix this

I'm betting on an internal master cylinder leak. IF you have replaced the flex lines, don't have any leaks at the lines, no leaks in the caliper or cylinders, rear shoes are adjusted, about he only thing left is the MC. You could reinstall the bleed tubes with the MC installed and see if you can bleed it. Install another MC if you can;t bleed the air out OR pedal stays spongy. Again, make sure the rears are adjusted. Mine are solid & feel like any other brake system is expected to feel.
Of course, it steers like s **** - exactly like we expect.

Mine just started doing the same thing Friday. No problems at all before that, and has been a while since front pads were replaced. If anyone out there has a clue post it up. I am going to try to look at the hoses in front and see what's up. I have not seen a leak.
