Brake Fluid Capacity?
I want to flush all the old brake fluid out and fill it up with fresh DOT 3 synthetic brake fluid. I bought a 32 oz. bottle (big bottle, 3x the small bottles) of Prestone, is that enough to bleed and refill all the brakes?
Is it ok to mix synthetic with regular?
I was going to bleed each caliper and keep refilling the brake fluid reservoir until I got fresh fluid in the lines. Anyone got a better suggestion?

That should be plenty. You may want to get most of the old fluid out of the reservior before you open the bleeders. That way you have less old fluid to push through the lines.

I flushed the brakes on my truck this morning using a Motive Power bleeder. Used almost 2 qts of DOT4 for the flushing. Like JSP mentioned, goes faster if sucking most of the old fluid out of the reservoir first before bleeding.

Wow, didn't think it'll take that much. Guess I'll have to go get another bottle. Thanks for the input guys.
