borgenson shaft and box

about to bite the bullet my shaft is shot the rag joint is really loose. so borgenson shaft and thinking of the replacement box also. I know I may have to move the plate on the DSS brace if needed. its some $ was saving for hamilton cam and springs. but now good chunk of money will be going to this now. but with 37's and new ball joints going in. and all else I have done I should be driving straighter. and with alot more ease. with the ratio and turn of the box

How much is the box? Also, talk to redheadsteering before buying the box. I haven't seen many posts from people that actually installed redhead but those that have are positive. Do not waste your $$ on AGR. I had several AGR boxes be bad which cost me install, shipping & tow (several each). Do multiple failures qualify as a cluster ****? The reman Cardone that I currently have feels heavy but is working. Redhead (Harvey??) said it is because of the valving.

Mine didn't have a DSS until the new owner (me) bought it. By then the box was shot. I expect that is a common scenario. Also had to buy gauges & AirDog as PO was able to go 100,000 mi without. I did notice recently that my VP is a reman so someone dealt with consequences of small fuel line & LP failure.

well I have the money for both the shaft is shot no doubt and the oem box has almost 180k on it. I have been talking to Rip @ sourceautomotive who is now selling and installing the borg stuff and has had good reviews with the
2nd and 3rd gen trucks. for the DSS to work the bearing needs moved over a little and re-welded. he is matching me the price that geno's has which is the lowest I have found. will replace the high pressure side hose on the box also since it will be apart as soon as I get the right part number for it. but the box from what talking to geno's and Rip is just over 3 turn 14:1 ration turn very easy which will help my 37's on the ground. so not knocking other brands but this is close to me and I know that Rip @source will stand behind what he sells. let you know how it is after install in about 10 days
