Did the block heater have to be ordered with the truck or was it installed with the Cummins engine. I have a 1999 SLT with the diesel and I don't think I have a block heater installed. Thanks

'99s came stock with the heater, being that you are in Alabama it may have never been used and is coiled up on the passenger side of the engine. Look for a cord disappearing into the block just below the oil filter.
