Better Mileage With O/D Off

Do you get better mileage with the TC locked or unlocked? My guess is you get better mileage with it locked if this is so then would i get better mileage driving with it out of overdrive if im only going up to say 45 mph? My thing is i work down the street from my house speed limit is only 40 mph so im thinking i would get better mileage if i left O/D off.

Noticed the same thing. 0-45mph seems to be easier and tc locks. Depending on your gears, over 45mph the rpms are over 1500 and then mpg will begin to decrease IMO which ODrive could be on and drop rpms to <1500.

I regularly turn off OD until I'm above 45-50 or so, but I gotta admit I hate the way the truck shifts when you turn OD back on. I hate it unlocking, rpms jumping, and then the truck shifting.
