Best way to prep a truck for storage

what is best way to prep ur truck for storage-4-6 months-in mild climate 20o to 100o-az. 97 cummins diesel<250k> Also have ford 95 75k-gas engines easier?

Good question. Mine seldom sits for more then 24 hours, so I never thought about it. It will be interesting to see what folks have to say.

I think if you run fuel stablizer through it for a little while, disconnect the batteries, and place the truck on jack stands so the tires do not develope flat spots. You will be more than good to go. This is being safe. I use to travel for work 6 months at a time and did nothing to my car. I used to have a Honda Accord and a Nissian compact truck. They would fire right up and everything was ok. The only thing was they rode funny for a while untill the tires became round again. These were gas engines though. I think if you wanted to go that approach, pour some fuel stablizer and some anti-bio stuff into your tank so nothing will grow in your fuel.


You truck will be fine....
