Best place to run wires through firewall

Got a new apline cd player for the ram, requires a direct connection to the battery... wondering where is the best place to run the wires in... or if i have to.. drill a hole

If you have an auto transmission, there is an unused grommet where the clutch would go.

If you have a manual tranny, you can't use that hole, but there are plenty of grommets under there that wouldn't mind a small slice and a couple wires going through.

yea shes an auto... where would I find these grommets... big enough to run some big power wires for an amp perhaps?

Just where Phox mentioned. The plug where the clutch would go is probably large enough to house every future mod you will do to your truck.

Look on the firewall just to the left of brake pedal about half way up. Large rubbber grommet. It can be pulled and a hole cut in it big enough for any wires or tubes you need to run. It pulls out from the engine side.
