Anyone running under-bed auxilliary fuel tanks?

Ive been looking into doing a veggie-oil conversion, but it needs a seperate storage system in order to work well. Ideally Id have a couple tanks so I could heat and filter the stuff onboard the truck.
Looks to me like theres a pile of room under the bed and cab sides for tanks. That leads me to wonder if any of you guys run tanks like the polyethylene tanks used in boats. West marine has a few good sized tanks for cheap money but Id have to have one in hand to find the right place to mount it.
I could put it in the bed but I need to be able to haul stuff in the bed that takes all 8', plus it would be nice to keep things neat looking and do all the plumbing underneath the truck.
