Re:AC Select

Since the vents are controlled by vaccum, and it defaults to defrost if there is a vacuum problem (no vacuum), I suspect the selector switch.

Chris

Re:AC Select

i had the same problem. i changed out the vacuum actuator for my dash vents, and it worked fine. its right up under the dash near the brake pedal. there is another one down in front of the gear shifter(manual trans,).

take the vacuum hoses off of the actuator, and see if they are still pulling vacuum. if so, then you actuator is hosed. if you dont have vacuum at alll, you hose could be pinched, or you could have a bigger problem. i would check the actuators first. the actuators just move the vents when you turn the selector.
